Error logging feature in oracle 11gr2

Hi ,
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
CORE 11.2.0.2.0 Production
TNS for IBM/AIX RISC System/6000: Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production

While i was trying to enable the errorlogging instead of spool method,i get the following error
SQL> show errorlogging
SP2-0735: unknown SHOW option beginning "errorloggi..."
SQL> set errorlogging on
SP2-0735: unknown SET option beginning "errorloggi..."
Kindly advice me on this
