'error in MSVCRT.DLL' when i try to open installer

hi,

i was trying to install J2SE 1.4.2, the file is complete and not corrupted but when i try to open the
installer program i get this message:

The program has caused an error in MSVCRT.DLL

what can i do to make it work?
