Error connecting to Oracle from Excel using ODBC

I'm getting this error message when I connect to an Oracle database from Excel...

ORA-12514: Message 12514 not found; product=RDBMS80; facility=ORA

I've setup the DSN using the Microsoft ODBC Driver for Oracle. Do I need to install the Oracle client on the machine? This is working on two other machines. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
