Error 1335 Installing j2re-1_4_2_03

Hi,
I am attempting to install a downloaded copy of j2re-1_4_2_03-windows-i586-p.exe but after 'copying new files' I get "Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for the installation is corrupt and cannot be used..." I can install j2re-1_4_1_02-windows-i586.exe without any trouble but not this version. I have the following:

Windows 2000 SP4
IE6
