Error 1305. Error reading from file

I get "Error 1305. Error reading from file http://java.sun.com/webapps/download/GetFile/1.4.2-b28/windows-i586/Java 2 Runtime Envirnoment, SE v1.4.2.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." while downloading JRE v1.4.2 on a Windows XP machine.

It was suggested that by using Windows Offline Installer, one can get around this problem. Since this problem might occur because the downloading files are large. I am using a broadband connection and I am not sure whether this is the issue.

Any suggestions/thoughts on fixing it?
