Ergonomic USB keyboards

I have a frustrating situation: I have a Blade100 dual-booting on Solaris 8 & Solaris 9, and in both versions of the OS it rejects my standard ergo USB 1.1 keyboard and I have to plug in a Sun keyboard to even boot properly. This is a huge drag, needless to say, and I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with using ergonomic USB keyboards with Solaris, and if so, what brand of keyboard you're using?
