EPMA Services will not start on new install

Hi,

Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3

My EPMA services do not start.

When I run diagnostics a number have the message; - 'Make sure external checker is working'

Can anyone point me at a helpful document or let me know exactly what this means / what is likely to be the cause?

Core Essbase and Planning functionality is working fine, just EPMA related aspects that I cannot connect to from Hyperion Planning.
