EPM automate command to stop the run if there are no files to be uploaded

Hi,
I need assistance with an EPM automate command, we have created a script to load files from SFTP sever to ARC's data management.

We scheduled this script over month end challenge is the script runs automatch in the application as well, however we want the script to stop running if there are not files in the folders.

Script details and steps are as follows.
1. Upload all files in the relevant data load rules from SFTP server
2. Run data load rule, import and exporting data to ARC
3. Run automatch in the application
4. Run matched transactions report in ARC ( for that specific period)
5. Load the matched transaction report in FCC data management
6. Run FCC data load rules
Result we want, if there are no files in step 1 stop the script.
