I had a question about upgrading my EPM repository which is SQL server 2008. EPM version is 11.1.2.4 and the only products installed are Planning, Financial Reporting and Calc Manager. We need to upgrade to SQL Server 2012 and from the product matrix, it is a supported database. I was planning to backup the SQL Server 2008 schemas and configurations settings and import them into SQL Server 2012. After that I would reconfigure EPM and point to the new schemas. Planning datasources would also have to be repointed.
My question is whether this a supported way of upgrading the registry database to SQL Server 2012. Also I was wondering whether there might be any additional steps involved for the upgrade on the SQL side that I may have missed.
