EPM 11.1.2.2 disaster recovery

Hi,

We used host alias on DR environment. We did DR test with 90% success following epm_backup_recovery_1112200.pdf. The issue we are facing is, since DR was not patched with all the patches as production, we missed those patches in DR. The oracle provided document has one sentence "Back up the EPM Oracle home directory (to back up all installed products) if you install a new product or apply a patch.". So we did second attempt and restored "EPM ORACLE HOME" (EPMSystem11R1") folder to DR servers too. Now we can see the patches, but do not confident.

Question 1: Is this right approach? The document is not very clear. Also it is written to restore everything back to same server, which is not really Disaster scenario.

Question 2: How to deal with ADF patches, can we just restore "oracle_common" in DR site?

Any other recommendation? Is there a white paper that lists all the folders to restore.
