Hi,
I have a large (800MB compressed) JFR recording from a server running Wowza Streaming Engine where the JVM is locking up completely and not responding at all. It is not even possible to get a heap dump or stack trace from the JVM.
The dump file appears to have been written correctly but when I try to load it up in jmc, It tells me it's going to decompress the file and then a few seconds later, A dialog box with an EOFException message appears.
I guess the file may not have written out completely when the JVM locked up. Is there any way that it can be recovered or even split so that we can see what was happening leading up to the lockup.
OS Ubuntu 12.04 with custom 3.14.5 kernel (server is running QuickSync HW encoder and requires this build)
Java version 1.8.0_45
Also, if anyone has any ideas what would cause such a lockup, we are welcome to all suggestions.
Thanks
