Environment Migration (eg. DEV to UAT to PRD)

686410Feb 20 2009 — edited Feb 26 2009
Hi,

I'm trying to wrap my head around the correct approach/sequence for UCM environment migration).

I've read the offical migtaion document ([http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/documentation/admin/sysmigration_cserver_10en.pdf]) - but it's more of a list of options than a correct sequence to follow.

The most straitforward part is the Content Migration Utility (CMU) - i've run a cmu template and i've already imported the config on another machine - all roles, metadata fields etc have been created.

What I want to migrate next is content, and a site (Site Studio). What's the correct approach? Archiver for the content, and SiteStudio Admin for the site? Which first?

Am I missing anything? I mean am I correct in saying this is a 3 part migration (config, content, site)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards.
