Enter Keyword in oracle Form

Hi Friend,

I want to understand What 'ENTER' keyword exactly do in oracle form ??? I read help which is given in oracle form.

But i didnt get it..What exactly happen...Is it necessary ? when is it practically useful ??

Please clear me the thing of Enter keywod in simple manner.
