enq: HW - contention

Hi,

My query has got high wait time on enq: HW - contention, the query is trying to insert large number of rows to a table which has got a LOB datafeild. When multi users try to update this table the query takes a long time to complete. When I check the wait time ,more than 50% of wait time is for enq: HW - contention.

The DB in on 10.2.0, and segment space management is AUTO. an help will be appreciated.

How can I resolve this issue.
