Ending blackout results is historical alert log error emails
I blacked out my test database in Grid Control while refreshing test from prod. My refresh method was using Rman to production and restore it as test. I had lots of errors when doing this clone like ORA-01276: Cannot add file +EDWDEV_DATA/edwtst/controlfile/current.482.602195895 .
Eventually I got there and test was restored. Then as soon as I ended the blackout on test, the Grid Control emails me 50 zillion times for all the alert log errors that occurred during the time period while test was blacked out You’d think that during the blackout, that there’s no need for error reporting?
