end to end authentication and authorization, using PKI and AD

All,

I realize its a mouthful, but has anyone done anything with the aforementioned subject? Would like to present a cert to APEX, have the user auth'd by AD and then again (as req'd) by the DB (this will allow Label Security to work properly) Even better, I would delegate the auth to an IIS front end, but that would likely be a complete pipe dream vs the partial one I proposing here :-)

Any and all guidance would be most helpful. I'm looking for working code first and foremost; I think I have the concept down pretty well.
