encrypting the dads.conf passwords

sky123Feb 1 2012 — edited Feb 2 2012
Hi,

I followed the instruction to run the perl dadTool.pl program in order to encrypt the dads.conf passwords in one of our Oracle HTTP Servers. After that, all passwords were encrypted. Will the Oracle HTTP Server "automatically" understand the encrypted password next time when I restart the server? ...or I need to tell it the passwords are encrypted.

Also, if I need to change the password of APEX_PUBLIC_USER in the database, can I simply overwrite the encrypted password in the dads.conf file and then run the perl dadTool.pl program to encrypt the passwords again?

Thanks.

Andy
