EMCTL not found in $ORACLE_HOME/bin Directory

Hi,

I have installed oracle 9i in my linux computer... but there isn't any EMCTL file in the $ORACLE_HOME/bin Directory! I wonder what went wrong? is it due to some installation errors? Please help me...

For you info, i am able to start dbca and have already set up a database. I just do not know how to connect to the database using sqlplus
