Hello,
I am trying to install the EMCC 12.1.0.4 on a Windows Server 2012 virtual machine hosted on an ESXi Server. A previously installation done without getting any updates was completed with no problems. Since some features were not working properly I decided to install once again and get also the Updates from Oracle. I have followed the advanced installation guide instructions. The virtual machine has been reset to the stage before. So no dirty installation.
After getting the updates and displaying the patches the Oracle Installer prompts a Windows saying the Installer will be restarted. But it does not. I have waited and waited but nothing happened.
The Logs shows the first steps after restart and no other error. I have tried several other approaches:
1 Download the updates from the installation server and using my Metalink credentials
2.Use the --ignoresysprereqs option
3.Use the -showProxy option
4.Download updates on another server using the -downloadUpdates option than copy it to the win 2012 server.
In all cases the same behavior:
After clicking OK on the message windows saying a restart of the setup will follow, the setup restarts, a command window is shown for 1-2 seconds then everything stops.
I run everything as the Administrator.
