We have a Oracle 11.2.0.3 on a Solaris 10 with ASM setup. We use EMC Networker to do a Backup to EMC Data Domain system with Dedupe and DD Boost set up. Networker will call an RMAN Script to do the backup. We have Full backup and Archivlog backups backing up to different destination IN Data Domain. Filesperset is 1 is set up in the script due to de-dupe and EMC Networker version 8.0.
We have 1.TB Database and it is taking 10Hrs to backup.
Question is
1. Anyways to improve the performance and if anyone has setup a solution like this.
2. Archivelogs backups are queued when the full backup runs since they both write to Data Domain. We use Device as type as SBT_TAPE as Virtual Tapelibrary to backup to DD for both FULL and Archivelogs. Any idea on how to run the archivelogs parallely with Full backups.
