EMC Clarion LUN as quorum device ?

807567Aug 21 2008 — edited Aug 27 2008
Hi,
Building a test cluster on 2xT2000, Sol 10 (05/08) and Cluster 3.2 (02/08) with all the latest patches installed.
I'm trying to use a LUN on the Clarion as the quorum device but it doesn't want to play.
WIht both nodes in the cluster, if I shutdown one node the other panics with messages like this;

Aug 21 15:39:12 tvp71 cl_runtime: NOTICE: CMM: Quorum device 2 (/dev/did/rdsk/d5s2) added; votecount = 1, bitmask of nodes with configured paths = 0x3.
Aug 21 15:39:12 tvp71 cl_runtime: NOTICE: CMM: Registered key on and acquired quorum device 2 (gdevname /dev/did/rdsk/d5s2).
Aug 21 15:39:12 tvp71 cl_runtime: NOTICE: CMM: Quorum device /dev/did/rdsk/d5s2: owner set to node 1.
Aug 21 15:39:18 tvp71 cl_runtime: WARNING: CMM: Issuing a NULL Preempt failed on quorum device /dev/did/rdsk/d4s2 with error 2.

It's definately a SCSI reservation problem with the Clarion LUN so before I get too involved I'm curous if anybody else has tried to use this device as the QD ?
