EMBEDDED APPLICATIONS IN JAVA FOR 89C51 MICROCONTROLLER

I am an Electronics and Telecommunication engineer and is a novice in Java Technology. I am presently concentrating on developing a 8051 based embedded Java application for control of a process. I have
searched several web pages and have learnt about JVM and of course about the important specifications , but still I could not get any clear idea about how to start developing the product.

Is there anyone who can help in this regard a bit? I am presently working on ATMEL 89C51 Microcontroller(I am quite confident about
8051 programming, but a bit shaky with JVM and it's associated features).
