Emails not getting out from OEM

Windows Grid control 11g, go to preferences and configure alerts.
1. Send a test email from OEM to username1@customer_site.com and the email sends ok from OEM
2. Send a test email from OEM to myusername@gmail.com and the email sends ok so external mail send works fine
3. Sent a test email from username1@customer_site.com to myusername@mycompany.com and the mail sends ok so nothing wrong with mails from customer_site to mycompany.
4. Send a test email from OEM to myusername@mycompany.com and the email is rejected, and mailsweep at customer_site gets a rejection notification "Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:"
Email admin at customer_site says email is getting out, Email admin at mycompany says nothing is coming in to their mxsweep for it to be blocked. Has to be the content or encoding somwhere within the mail header Im thinking but our guy swears the mail isnt even getting to the sweep at our end for it to be blocked. We're using microsoft365 if thats any indicator. I tried an alternate address in mycompany but same issue. Just not getting through.
