Email sending fails from apex.oracle.com

Hi,

I am exploring apex.oracle.com starting with a simple application. However, when I try to send email from an Interactive Report, it fails. However, same test succeeded last Monday(03-OCT-2016). So, I reviewed the following data dictionary -

SELECT * FROM APEX_MAIL_QUEUE

I could find the record for which I was expecting the email. It has failed with the following error message - ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 504 5.3.3 AUTH mechanism CRAM-MD5 not available

Can somebody please advise if there is any recent administrative changes on apex.oracle.com? Or is it some setting in my workspace that might be impacting? Please note that it worked earlier, so I hope later one is not the possible cause.
