EMAIL Notification

Hi All
I wanna send Email Notification to User. But i am not able to do that. I don know how to send.
I know about tcEmailNotificationUtil but i am not able to use.
I have made one email definition in design console. I want to send that email template to users. How can i send this email definition. I am not able to fetch this email with email definition name from database.

I want to send User ID in this mail.

Could anyone please tell me how to send email notify in my case?
