email from crontab

Not getting emails when MAIL specified in crontab. OS: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP4

I see following error in /var/log/mail.err : fatal: parameter inet_interfaces: no local interface found for ::1

Note: I am testing mail fine from the command line:

mail -s "Testing mail on Linux" my_email.com < /dev/null
