Email address fails grid control test

I receive the following message when I test an email address in grid control:

*3161234567@page.mobilfone.com Test failed with message: "E-mail Address is invalid: Sending failed; nested exception is: javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses; nested exception is: javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for 3161234567@page.mobilfone.com*

I would like grid control to send alerts and messages to my text pager. The address works just fine from my Outlook account so I know it is valid at least to our exchange server. Is there a way to format the address so grid control accepts it? Or is there another way I can get grid control to send messages to my pager?
Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.
