EM pointed to Listener on wrong host.

Greetings All,

I had another thread going but no one was responding (2512179 and I've discovered something new.

I had moved a database to a new server.

When I would log on to EM it was saying that the DB was down (the DB was in fact up/started), that the listener was up, and that the agent connection failed.

I just noticed that the Listener information being displayed by the EM indicated the old/former host. I stopped the listener service on the old/former host.

I also determined that the listener.ora did NOT have an entry for the SID in question. Indicating that the DB did not register itself with the listener. I looked at the listener.ora file from the old server and added the entries for the SID in question to the listener.ora file on the new server. I then restarted the Listener service.

Now when I try to log on to EM everything is down, listener status is unavailable.

How do I get the EM to find the listener on the new host?

How do I get the EM to find the DB on the new host.

Thanks for your time,
Bob
