Electronic vs Digital Signature

Dear

Can someone help me understand the differences between the electronic signature that is provided in our solution, and digital signature, for which we need to integrate with 3rd party solution such as Co-sign? I'm a bit confused between both and not sure when to propose a 3rd party solution or staying with the electronic signature we already have.
