Eclipse JAR file

Hi,

I have a project and need an executable JAR file.
I have created a JAR file according to

http://userweb.cs.utexas.edu/~scottm/cs307/handouts/Eclipse%20Help/jarInEclipse.htm

however, when I double click on the generated jar file
I get an error "Invalid or corrupt jarfile".

What is the difference between JAR file and Runnable JAR file in Eclipse Export > Java option ?
