We are planing to migrate EBS(12.2.8) database (12.1.0,2 non rac) from legacy HP server to ODA(Oracle database appliance ) 19.6 ( Bare metal 2- HA) ,post database migration, we have to upgrade the database to 19.6 as on ODA 19.6 ,EBS database 19.6 is certified so the approach we are following a)we are installing oracle 12.1.0.2 home on ODA 19.6 as single instance .b) migrating EBS database from legacy HP sever to ODA 12.1.0.2 single instance via RMAN on ASM disk group ,c) installing oracle home for 19.3 on ODA 19.6 and applying interoperability patches on 19 .3 oracle home ,d) creating container database on 19.3 ,e) performing database upgrade from 12.1.0.2 to 19.3 via DBUA f) performing database upgrade from 19.3 to 19.6 g) RAC conversion via rconfig Question :- is it possible to directly migrate the EBS database 12.1.0.2 from legacy HP server to 19.3 oracle home on ODA 19.6 via RMAN and then perform database upgrade ?
