EASconsole port problem ?

kkwokOct 17 2016 — edited Oct 21 2016

Hi experts,

I have 11.1.2.4 installed on windows 2012. EAS patch level 11.1.2.4.013

I configured OHS to use port 80, and EAS to listen on port 10080.

through VPN, the port 80 is opened, but 10080 is closed.

On my laptop, it's using Java 7u80, but i have tried the same with java 6, 7, and 8

when i use http://server:80/easconsole, the console would open, but when i enter the username / password. The console returns "Could not connect to administration server xxxxxx".

I used a tool to diagnose the network connection, and found out that the easconsole first try to connect to the server on port 80, established, and then 10080 and that stuck at SYNC_SENT.

From my experience, i don't remember EAS, when accessed through OHS, it would try to connect through port 10080 directly from the client machine.

I tested with my other 11.1.2.1 environment which confirmed my hypothesis, that EAS would only use port 80 when accessing through OHS.

Anyone has experienced this in the past?

Thanks
