E-mail output formatting

I have set up my app to output a confirmation e-mail. I was amazed at how easy you've made this!

I have not been able to format the output, however. I'd like to put some carriage returns in the e-mail but
chr(13)
puts the little box in that indicates my e-mail program does not recognize the character (?). How do I get a carriage return?
