I'm using Dyn Updater, version 5.5.0 on Windows Server 2019 that sits behind a router. When I go into settings | preferences I see the correct Internet-unique IP address under the current IP4, but it's not using that to update DNS. Instead, it's using the local, private IP for that machine, a 192.168… IP.
When I do a TRACERT in DOS for my hostname, it's resolving to 192.168.0.12 instead of the router's Internet-unique IP.
Any thoughts?
