dump log file is not complete !!

459763Sep 29 2009 — edited Sep 29 2009
I am making an investigation but i have found no clue up to now. We have a backup schedule. It is defined in crontab and in the same line we defined two outputs ;one for errors and the other for the log. And in the script itself we are taking full export of a database. Of couse the log file for the dump is defined in the same command line.

Now my question is that the err file contains the same output of the dump's log file. But not for today. I see the full log file of the dump as an err file (in the crontab) but the real log file which was given in the dump command line is not complete.

Can there be any other reason for the dump log file is not complete (of course any other reason that removing lines from the file)?

(By the way there is enough space in the backup area)

Thank yıou very much for the replies.

Regards,
