Dropping private synonyms

Hi.

Here where I work we use private synonyms.

It´s taking too much time to drop a synonyms (hours).

The synonyms (50) I´m trying to drop are not been in use. There is no reference from or to another object.

I tried to lock the user owner of the synonym but changes nothing.

Does any one have a tip to help me.

My Database is:
Oracle 10g (10.2.0.3.0) 64 bits
AIX-Based Systems (64-bit)
