droping index

Hi,

When I try to drop an index it says :

ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified

I cannot use force as it is not domain index.Can I forcefully drop an index? if yes are there any problems if we forcefully drop an index?

This is on production database 10.1.0.5 on windows 2003
