Dropdowns not showing all choices
I have dropdowns that show selections from 2 dimension tables - 3 dropdowns from one table and 5 from the other. There are also hierarchies on them in the Business Model layer. There are six fact tables.
When I choose one selection from table 1 and another selection from table 2, the remaining choices showing in the dropdown from table 2 (I look at the next lower level in the hierarchy) are only a subset of all that have at least one matching record in at least one fact table. In one case only a single choice is showing when there should be about 3 dozen. I determined that the one choice is the only one in all 6 fact tables based on the choices in the other 2 dropdowns. As a test I inserted some records in the fact tables so that a second choice is in all six and now that shows also.
Is this how it always behaves? If not what is the fix?
This is OBIEE version 10.1.3.2.
