DRM Export crashing services: "Server refused connection" & TPC Error Code

2889517Mar 6 2015 — edited Mar 9 2015

Hi Oracle Support Team,

I am have much trouble in DRM the last few days so I wanted to reach out in hopes of you helping me.

DRM Version: 11.1.2.3.300

Internet Explorer 8

Problem: Service are being brought down due to an export

I have multiple exports excuting a certain time each evening for the business, which are being placed in a shared drive.

My exports have been running flawlessly until recently. We are currently in the process of going live so we loaded up DEV app with Production data to test and now its failing.

What I mean by failing is everytime I execute this particular export, services are brought down.

(Attached screen shot)

I have tried to export to a client file and I still get the same error.

As I said, ALL other exports are running without fail.

Prior to it failing, there were  4100 rows and 32 columns.  We’ve loaded some of these columns with data/values and then it began to fail.

To try and isolate the problem, I kept reducing the amount of columns in the export until it ran successfully as I thought the file size was too large. I got it to 20 rows (attributes) and then it finally worked.  However, it was short-lived as now my amended export fails again with the same errors.

If I may digress, the columns I stripped off in my testing, I made into their own export to try and they failed too.  Essentially, I was trying to split the export in (2) to see if file size was the issue but its apparent that’s not the case.

All my connections are fine as I have had these exports running for weeks prior.

When the export fails,  I get an error message (attached):

“Could not get job status:DRM-32049:Could not connect, the server refused the connection.”

When I try to log back in, I get an error message:

“2015-03-06 12:06:38,965 [440] ERROR Oracle.Drm.Client.DrmEventHandler - Unable to unsubscribe from events for Application: FIN_DRM_DEV System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException: Could not connect to net.tcp://hyper-util-dev:5272/DrmASyncEngineEventsSubService. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:03.0312500. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 63.244.91.197:5272.”

I am out of ideas in terms of what could be wrong.

What I have done is increase the session time a bit on IIS to no avail.  I also applied necessary updates from the Management Console.

Looking for some ideas or suggestions.  In the mean time, I’ll go ahead and submit an SR.

Just very strange a single export is killing servics.

Thank you.

Message was edited by: 2889517 Hi guys, I found the issue. So when this particular dimension was being exported, it was killing services. Also, when drilling in on the hierarchy to a particular set of members, services would get killed. Turns out, I had a formula on members that was also a list value and inhertied. I assume too many actions were being performed for a single member. Anyone have any idea on why this is?
