Dreaded "access denied for user" problem

wildmightApr 30 2009 — edited Aug 12 2009
Hello all,

What can prevent user from having a folder automatically created in catalog?

Similar problem to 590273

When user tries to login they get "access denied for user to path /users/username/_portal" message with the error code Error Codes: O9XNZMXB

The presentation services log is showing:
access denied for user to path /users/username/_portal.
---------------------------------------
Type: Warning
Severity: 50
Time: date here
File: project/webcatalog/localwebcatalog.cpp Line: 1353
Properties: ThreadID-5752;HttpCommand-Dashboard;RemoteIP-ip address here;User-
Location:
saw.catalog.local.getItemInfo
saw.subsystem.portal
saw.httpserver.request
saw.rpc.server.responder
saw.rpc.server
saw.rpc.server.handleConnection
saw.rpc.server.dispatch
saw.threadPool
saw.threads

It's only affecting newly added users.

I have the Impersonator authentication set up that was working well. Users are created in RPD manually (with blank password), assigned to RPD security groups, and their windows domain authentication is used for logging in. Once they login 1st time, they're automatically added to Presentation Services. Not sure what happened.

I checked the permissions and they resemble the ones that are working. Can anyone shed some light on it? Please suggest troubleshooting. Thanks
