Domains definitions

itshakDec 22 2024

Hi,

I updated my SQL Developer Data modeler to the new version: 24.3.1.351 on my Win 11 (64bits).

When I selected some design from “Recent Designs”, I see that all the domains that I defined (by Domains administration) in the previous version, does not appear in the design !

I tried to perform save of the domains using the older version (I don't deleted it from my pc) but I don't see any option to save the domains that I defined.

I tried removing the directory with the last version of data modeler definitions (as I perform when I have some issue with sql developer), so I removed the C:\Users\%myuser%\AppData\Roaming\datamodeler\24.3.1 directory, to cause the data modeler to ask me again to export definitions from previous version, but data modeler start without any asking about exporting preferences from previous version.

Anyone have idea to solve this issue?

Thanks on advance

Your ENTRA users will get authenticated via JSON Web Tokens, and their Entra roles will determine which ORDS REST APIs they can hit.

When they hit an endpoint, it'll execute code in the database as the database user that owns the schema where the REST API is defined, not as Entra defiend end user. In fact, the Entra users won't have accounts in the database (they could, but wont' need to).

The :current_user field as far as ords is concerned would be the corresponding oauth2 client or JWT issued for the authorizied session.

Your prehook should be able to alter the session to set the context that would put your RLS/VPD security policy in play.
