Does Sun One Mail server support S/MIME ?

We are looking for a solution on Solaris or Linux where users would access their email through a Web interface. All messages need to be S/MIME with the certificate and private key retrieved from a Smart Card.

Does the Sun server support this ?

If not, who does ? MS has this feature in Exchange 2003 but we're looking for a Unix solution.
