does restoredefaults -c factory downgrade the firmware ?

Hello,

It can look as a stupid question but it is not clear.
Does a "restoredefaults -c factory" downgrade the firmware version to the original bundled fw ?

and if Yes, How can I know the version of this XSCF to prepare an upgrade ?

I need to reinstall and reconfigure a M8000, as It take 2 hours to upgrade XSCF on this server, I need to include more time if I need to upgrade from earlier release than the XCP1050.
