Dear Experts,

Does +REDO1 diskgroup having only single physical disk having more than one partitions makes any sense for production oracle database?

For example

  • +Redo1 diskgroup having 2 disks of capacity 50  GB     ( Does these 2 disks are partitions of same physical disk  OR  these needs to be separate two physical disk as recommended approach ?)
  • +Redo1 diskgroup having 2 disks of capacity 50  GB (for RAID 1+0 )
  • +Redo2 diskgroup having 2 disks of capacity 50 GB
  • +Redo2 diskgroup having 2 disks of capacity 50  GB (for RAID 1+0

Thanks & Regards,

ivw
