Does Oracle Identitty Managment uses OID , even if we use Active Directory?

Hi ,

I want to know that, If we integrate Oracle IDM with some other repository like Active directory or some third party tool......Does IDM still sync's the Users list in its OID repository Meaning :


Does IDM needs to have OID repository ?

Like as per my understanding IDM has its own Configuration repository and secondly if we use OID then it also has User repository .... so basically do we need to have the USER repository even if we are using some third party active directory??
