Does OEM slow down the server?

Dear buddies,

Thought of implementing OEM for the convinience of keeping an eye on any errors and tablespace space issues.

Once I tried last time but all the developers said the database has become incredibly slow.

After I stopped dbconsole, they all felt its better.

Does OEM slow down the database if its installed in the same server?
