Does JSF have sth. like "Handler Interceptor" in Spring ?

Hi

I am trying to compare Spring MVC with JSF. I know Spring but still I have big problem with JSF... Tell me please if JSF has sth. like "Handler Interceptor" in Spring ?
If Yes how it is called and where can I find information about this? If Not what JSF has instead?
