Does APEX require a separate Web-Server like Apache / OAS / Websphere ?

Hi ,

I have a requirement to develop and put Forms/DataBase application on the web . The current method of using Oracle application server (OAS) is very costly .

Does APEX allow us to put an application (like Forms) on to the web without the need for a costly middle tier like OAS or WebSphere .

I understand we may need to migrate the Forms application on to the Apex right ?
