Does APEX application uses the java runtime instaled in the user's computer?

We are making some test with a new Java runtime version installed in the users computers, we are using the 1.8.0_91 and it presents some problems with the Security.

What we are not sure is that we need to run tests on APEX applications or if this application are not using this java.
