Does anyone have a speed comparison of Oracle on Intel-Linux vs. PPC-AIX?

I'm wondering if anyone can provide real world experiences on converting from PPC (Power5 and newer) with AIX to Linux on Intel.
It goes without question that PPC is a faster processor than a similiarly clocked Intel, but I suspect that's more relevant to math calculations (which isn't that important with a usual Oracle query).
I'm looking to writing a study, internal to my company, that could show cost savings by shifting away from PPC-based hardware, and switching to Intel+RAC. Intel-based hardware can be 1/10 the cost of PPC-based [but I also know the MTBF on PPC is much higher too].

As a side question for those that use AIX on PPC, have you noticed with nmon that most queries don't peg a CPU? Do you think it would be more efficient to micro-partition the CPU in 1/2, creating 2 virtual CPU's for each 1 physical, to handle more queries simultaneously?
